Fixin® Vet Injection

Composition

Each ml injection contains:

Flunixin Meglumine USP 83 mg (Eqv. to 50 mg Flunixin).

Indication

Cattle: For the control of pyrexia associated with bovine respiratory disease and endotoxemia and acute bovine mastitis. Also for the control of inflammation in endotoxemia.
Horse: For the alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders. Also for the alleviation of visceral pain associated with colic in the horse.

Dosage & administration

Cattle: Administer 2 ml per 45 kg body weight by IV route once a day for up to 3 days.
Horse: Administer 1 ml per 45 kg body weight by IV or IM route once a day for up to 5 days.

Storage condition & Expiry period

Storage condition: Protected from light, store in a cool (below 250 C) and dry place.
Expiry period: 24 months after the date of manufacture.

Withdrawal period

Beef:4 days, Milk: 24 hours.

Precautions before using

♦ Use under recommendation of Veterinarian
♦ Do not use to animals showing hypersensitivity to Flunixin Meglumine
♦ Keep the recommended usage and dosage
♦ The drug should be given slowly when used intravenously
♦ Long-term treatment with NSAIDs might induce gastro-intestinal ulceration
♦ In horses, rare instances of anaphylactic-like reactions right after IV use and loss of appetite have been reported
♦ Tissue irritation at the injection site may occur when it is injected intramuscularly

Precautions for the people who use the product for the animals:

♦ Avoid direct contact with the skin
♦ Wash hands properly after use

K-Pain® Vet Bolus/Injection

Composition

Injection: Each ml contains Ketoprofen BP 100 mg.
Bolus: Each bolus contains Ketoprofen BP 400 mg.

Indication

♣ Treatment of lameness of traumatic origin, fractures, tendonitis etc., Management of post-surgical pain, relieving chronic pain (e.g., arthritis etc.) and for the symptomatic treatment of fever (e.g, ephemeral fever, FMD etc.)

♣ Reducing pyrexia and distress associated with bacterial respiratory disease when used in conjunction with antimicrobial therapy, reducing oedema of the udder associated with calving.

♣ Improving the recovery rate in acute clinical mastitis, including acute endotoxin mastitis, caused by gram-negative bacteria in conjunction with antimicrobial therapy.

♣ Supportive treatment of parturient paresis (Milk Fever) associated with calving, alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders, alleviation of visceral pain associated with colic

Contraindication

● Do not administer to cattle or horses hypersensitive to ketoprofen, do not administer other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) concurrently or within 24 hours of each other

● Contraindicated in animals suffering from cardiac,hepatic or renal disease, gastro-intestinal ulceration or bleeding.

Side effect

Like all NSAIDs, gastric or renal intolerance may occur in certain individuals.

Meat: 4 days, Milk: Nil

Prescribing Information

Pyro-Free Bolus

Description

Pyro-Free is used to treat the pains of dierent origin and variable intensity (such as toothache, headache, visceral pain or high fever). It is also prescribed for high fever caused by viral and bacterial infection.

Composition

Each bolus contains:

Novalgin   1500 mg
Vitamin C   150 mg
Vitamin K     30 mg
Vitamin E   150 mg

Indication

● To control & relieve fever
● To relieve pain of various cause
● Acts best supportive therapy during the antibiotics or vaccinations against bacterial & viral diseases
● To relieve from stress conditions
● Relieve pain from accidental injury and/or post operative treatments of large animals

Dosage & Administration

Cattle: 1 bolus per 100-120 kg bodyweight for 3-5 days
Poultry: 1 bolus per 2-3 liters of drinking water for 3-5 days

Or, as directed by the registered Veterinarian.

Indications

Higher Anti-inflammatory Activity than any other steroids available in Bangladesh

Circulatory shock and collapse .

Inhibits the catabolism of Proteins.

Dosage & Administration

Dose : 1ml per 10 kg bwt (single dose), administer at deep muscle

Dose may be repeated after 10-14 days

Fevasole® Injection

Composition

Each ml contains-

Metamisole INN   500 mg

Indications

Ephemeral fever, Arthritis, Laminitis, Traumatic infection, Pain, Wound, Fever etc.

Dosage & Administration

Fevasole® injection can be administered through intravenous or deep intramuscular.

It can be used repeatedly in the same day if required.

Cattle :  8 ml/100kg of body weight.

Horse : 20-60 ml

Calves : 5-15 ml

Goat & Sheep       : 2-8 ml

Dog & Cat              : 1-5 ml

Or as prescribed by the  registered veterinarians.

Side effect

Do not inject Fevasole subcutaneously since this may cause irritation of the tissue.
